Since its very early days, Boreal pursued a research and development program to improve the performance of rock shoes and boots for hikers and mountaineers. We produce all climbing shoes, trekking and mountaineering boots in-house at our factory in Villena, Spain. Many employees stay at BOREAL for their entire careers. The company values and rewards the employees and we believe this is reflected in the consistent high quality of the footwear produced.

Lightweight microfiber and abrasion resistant mesh upper with PU AirNet lining, ensuring excellent breathability and comfort. An elasticated cord at the heel allows the shoes to be packaged together for easy stowage when travelling or clipping to a harness. Shango boasts the brilliant new Terra outsole using the sticky MICHELIN OCX rubber compound and rugged tread design for great traction in all weathers. Integrated toe-cap for durability and protection.

An extensive climbing zone at the toe gives excellent edging performance on technical terrain, while the TPU piece under the toes and heel provides support and stability. Shango is the ideal crag partner, with the features to handle technical approaches and the style and comfort to handle the post-climb party.
