History

It has no pressure points thanks to the innovative Boa closure system that guarantees precision, durability and comfort. The closure system consists of two micro adjustable Boa reels and stainless steel cable. The combination of these elements allows the cyclist to obtain a uniform fastening and greater air circulation on the front of the foot. The Boa technology guarantees the bobbins and cables of the BOA locking system for the entire life of the product. Breathability: the upper is made of microfibre with laser perforation. Together with the new anatomical tongue, the shoe offers excellent breathability and a perfect climate for the cyclist. The Michelin Carbon Rubber Technology combines rubber and carbon in an unique and exclusive process, enhancing their particular characteristics and technical performance such as stiffness and lightness (carbon) and grip (rubber) in a single element.

Philosophy

This shoe has been designed with TSS technology ” has given life to the new Mtb sole in light EPS carbon fibre, which offers the right mix of performance, resistance and lightness. Its structure is made of carbon to offer excellent rigidity and power when pedalling. The MICHELIN rubber tread combines a compound designed to balance performance and abrasion resistance, even in extreme conditions, with a design profile that allows excellent grip and traction. The large distance between the tread blocks allows better self-cleaning and quick mud removal.

technology at your feet

The G.FRAMETEX 1.0 upper material is strategically perforated to prioritize breathability and enhance air ventilation, keeping your feet cool and dry throughout your ride. Whether you’re tackling grueling climbs or sprinting for the finish line, the G.ROCK ensures optimal airflow to prevent overheating and maintain peak performance. The TPU overlays on the toe cap and sides provide anti-abrasion protection, enhancing durability.
The INSOLE, featuring anatomical support on the heel and tarsal area, enhances stability and comfort while maximizing power transfer and efficiency. Strategically placed perforations corresponding to the sole holes improve ventilation, creating a better microclimate inside the shoe. The Gaerne EPS Lightweight Carbon Fiber MTB Sole 10.0, developed in collaboration with Michelin®, features a carbon structure ensuring excellent stiffness and lightness for powerful pedaling. The Michelin® rubber tread ensures maximum abrasion resistance and excels even in extreme conditions, while the profile design offers exceptional grip and traction. Spacing between treads facilitates effective self-cleaning and rapid mud shedding. With a rigidity index of 10, this sole stands as the stiffest in the Gaerne MTB range.

Carbon Rubber by jv international

The technology allows to combine an extremely light and rigid carbon-fiber component with a multi-compound rubber tread that will offer the necessary performance in terms of grip and stability.

The core of Carbon Rubber is the “lamination coupling technology” between the carbon fiber element and the multicompound rubber tread.
