The Wave Daichi is a mid-weight trail running shoe with a MICHELIN outsole that is a favourite among all types of trail runners. It is designed for middle mileage dirt and mountain trails as well as fast running on hard surfaces such as rock or gravel. The MICHELIN sole works around the very obvious MIZUNO X-shaped groove in the midfoot which allows the shoe to adapt to uneven terrain for better traction. Sculptures radiate out at sharp angles so that they can gain traction on different surfaces, delivering constant stability and traction in all directions and in all weather conditions. The sculptures feature 2-step base reinforcement for added stability and durability. Generous sculptures surrounding the perimeter deliver exceptional lateral traction when changing direction, particularly with sudden or sharp turns, or on very slippery terrain. The MIZUNO shoe’s high-tech construction also extends to its upper featuring Dynamotion Fit, which works with the foot in the various stages of the gait cycle. This allows the shoe to follow the foot’s natural movements. The midsole is made from ap+, a lightweight polymer that guarantees superb response, exceptional durability and cushioning, as well as excellent comfort.
