LIVE A NEW JOURNEY
Take your project to
the next level
We are proud to present the new BOROS boots collection, co-designed with Rosenbauer
Boots are more than just a piece of equipment for firefighters.
They accompany them from the moment they put them on in the fire station changing room until they return after the call-out. Through cold and heat. Through fire and water. Whether they’re dealing with ice or hot rubble. They not only protect the wearer’s feet, but ensure a sure-footed response and protect the firefighter’s entire body for hours at a time.

Highest comfort.
Maximum protection.

With their new BOROS boot line, the Rosenbauer developers have paid particular attention to making the boots feel as if they are one with the wearer. They aim to not only be stable, robust and optimally protect the feet of firefighters as they go about their tough, everyday life, but to also be as light as possible, as comfortable as possible and as practical as possible. The answer to all these demands is the BOROS B1 pull-on boot and the BOROS B4 with the Rosenbauer quick release fastener.

Focus on the sole.
STEP FORWARD IN A SAFETY.
The sole of the new boots was developed in cooperation with MICHELIN® specifically for the requirements of fire services. It is made from a high-quality rubber mix and offers a unique pattern. The sole absorbs all forces exerted onto the boot from all directions while at the same time guaranteeing maximum slip protection on wet surfaces, snow, and ice. The multi-layer sole design with intermediate air pockets ensures excellent cold and heat insulation. A steel insert inside the sole offers maximum penetration protection, while the toes are protected by an impact-proof safety steel cap.
The exterior heel and toe areas are also fitted with high-quality TPU protectors that offer additional protection against blows and impacts, in addition to protecting the leather against wear. The ankle protection is tested according to the guidelines for safety shoes EN 20345:2012, and is padded with a special foam that adapts particularly well to the shape of the ankle and cushions incrementally when compressed (memory foam).
PRODUCT
BENEFIT
Thread wear indicator
The integrated indicator shows whether the sole has sufficient tread thickness.
High flexibility
The blocks of treads are interrupted by grooves, providing greater flexibility around the ball of the foot. This supports the natural rolling movement of the foot.
Special profile
The combination of the siping and a unique tread geometry ensures excellent grip, even on slippery surfaces.
Pull-off aid
A stable edge in the heel area makes it easy and comfortable to remove the boot.

Adherence
Interlocked tread provides adherence on low friction surfaces
TWI

Flexibility
Large grooves for flexibility
Adherence
Siped sculptures enhance adherence
Durability
Massive heel area for durability
SPECIAL RUBBER COMPOUND
A rubber compound has been developed especially for firefighting use; it functions reliably in both extreme cold (-40°C) and extreme heat (300°C).
PENETRATION PROTECTION
Penetration protection made from steel is integrated into the sole. This provides the wearer with a level of protection from injury caused by items like protruding nails etc.
EXCELLENT CUSHIONING
Rubber strips inside the sole provide very good cushioning, especially in the heel area.
