This is the new VETTA TECH GTX® designed by Garmont with soles by MICHELIN.
The MICHELIN sole gives the shoe maximum flexibility and lightness and features a specific double compound with stronger grip in the toe area for climbing and blocks with sipings specifically designed to ensure greater adaptability and grip on any type of ground. Its technicality is enhanced on gravel, exposed rocks and mixed terrains.
The tread has been designed to offer maximum flexibility and traction, guaranteeing the wearer a 360 degree freedom of movement on all types of terrains. Thanks to the fiberlite inserts, the sole is extremely light. To achieve maximum stability, triangular sculptures have been inserted in the heel, capable of improving braking and making walking more stable even downhill.
The sole is accompanied by an ecological Ortholite® UltraLiteTM footbed characterized by a combined structure: a rigid and stable compound in the heel area and a soft ultralite compound in the midfoot and forefoot area.
The VETTA TECH GTX® comes in a mid-cut for better ankle protection and provide flexibility and stability for better foot control even under a heavy load.
The abrasion-resistant suede upper features ultralight efoam inserts on the toe box and heel area for added protection and to guarantee not only excellent mechanical performance, but also considerable elasticity and flexibility. This material does not contain pollutants such as DMF or PVC.
The upper is equipped with Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort technology for versatile climate comfort, while Heel Lock technology helps fix the heel in the heel pocket. The lace-to-toe closure provides a more customised fit for better comfort.

It is with these needs in mind that Garmont and Michelin have co-designed the new Dragontail Tech GTX, a versatile, lightweight shoe, but at the same time able to offer high comfort for long treks.
The tread design has been designed to offer maximum flexibility and traction, guaranteeing the wearer 360-degree freedom of movement on all types of terrain. To make the sole extremely light it has been designed with fiber lite technology, while, to offer maximum stability to the wearer, triangular sculptures have been inserted in the heel to improve braking and make the walk stable even on downhill.
